LL cool j: a conversation | spec poster design

Created to mark hip-hop's 50th anniversary, this project adapted a standard poetry symposium poster brief into a tribute to an artist who shaped the genre. After researching LL Cool J's catalog and testing several directions, the final piece builds his portrait entirely from his own lyrics — drawn from "Ah, Let's Get Ill" — layered over the visual language of his 1996 album All World.
